It is important for Dodge City to speak with one voice when advocating for issues that impact our community. The Legislative Committee of the Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce provides direction and leadership when advocating at the local, state, and federal levels on behalf of the business community.
The Chamber uses various methods, such as gathering member concerns, to find information relevant to issues affecting or impacting our community. Legislative Coffees and luncheons along with the annual State of the City and State of the County Address are also hosted by the Chamber to help provide you with information vital to your business.
Additionally, the Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce is a key member of the Southwest Kansas Chambers of Commerce. Other organizations that make up the alliance include the Garden City Area Chamber of Commerce, Grant County Chamber of Commerce and the Liberal Chamber of Commerce. The purpose of the alliance is to combine the strengths of the local Chambers of Commerce in Southwest Kansas, to provide a positive impact on growth and development of Southwest Kansas by addressing regional issues, legislative concerns and internal issues within individual Chambers while maintaining the individuality of the local Chambers.
